With the advent of the Internet and more people relying on online media to get the latest information, real estate portals are too emerging as hot favorite for property seekers in Delhi NCR.
Property buying which was once considered to be a complete family decision taken after much deliberation and advice from relatives and friends, has now become a regular online activity where one examines various properties in offer, compares them and talks to the builder directly. With advancements in technology, all information related to various on-going and completed real estate projects is available online, and one can directly access it through numerous real estate portals to make an informed decision.
Real estate portals are offering the easiest way to find properties in Delhi NCR. As per a recent survey conducted by Magicbricks, the majority of the participants have voted in favor of online real estate portals and said they rely on them to search, verify and buy properties in India. While almost 28 per cent of the total participants ruled in favor of the real estate portals, the others still prefer conventional ways of finding and buying a property such as talking to real estate agents, word of mouth, through family and friends, etc.
The number of Internet users in India is expected to cross the 500 million mark in the coming years. With more people relying on the Internet to get appropriate information, real estate companies too expect online portals to serve as the major factor for increasing real estate sales. The fact is also evident with recent developments where many real estate companies come in collaboration with different e-commerce and real estate portals to sell their projects more frequently.
Mr. Anil Mithas, Chairman & Managing Director at Unnati Fortune Group says, “The advent of the Internet has changed the way we connect to the world, pay utility bills and do shopping, and it will certainly change the way we search and buy properties in future. Real estate developers continue to strive for innovative ways to reach their target audience. Meanwhile, real estate portals provide a common platform to both the builders and the buyers to buy and sell properties in India.”
